Jasmine Green Tea Cupcakes
1 box of Pillsbury Classic White cake mix
1/3 cup oil
1 cup water
1 teaspoon Jasmine Extract
2 tablespoon of matcha green tea
8 oz Pillsbury Creamy Supreme cream cheese frosting
green food color
Follow the cake mix box instructions by combining eggs, oil and water to the cake mix. Add matcha green tea, jasmine extract and green food color and mix on slow until the batter is smooth. Scoop the batter into cupcake liners with tray and bake for 20 -24 minutes or the cake test* comes out clean. Let cupcake cool completely. Add 1/2 teaspoon jasmine extract to the frosting. Mix well and then pipe onto cupcake. I use a Wilton 2D flower drop tip for my cupcakes.
*Cake test is sticking a toothpick into the cupcake while baking. If the toothpick comes out clean then the cupcake is done.Click here for instructions on how to pipe a rose swirl.
