Garlic Parmesan and Old Bay Butter Spread

Calling all bread lovers!

I always say that I am a cheap date because I can fill up on bread and have no room left in my tummy for the entree.  Of course, no guy has complained about that habit so far. The most exciting part of dining out for me would be devouring the warm bread and soft homemade bread spread that I just can’t get enough of.

Now you can make your own butter spreads at home. I have two easy recipes that will make this year’s holiday guests wondering where you got that recipe. Toast it in the oven or serve it soft, this is going to be a hit.

Garlic Parmesan Butter

1 and ½ stick of unsalted butter (soften but not melted)

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

¼ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon grated parmesan

At room temperature, mix the unsalted butter with all of the ingredients listed above. Store the butter spread in a jar or wrap in a log using parchment paper. Leave it in fridge overnight before serving. Makes great gifts.

Old Bay Butter

1 and ½ stick of unsalted butter (soften but not melted)

½ teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning

¼ teaspoon black pepper

1/8 onion powder

¼ teaspoon dried red crushed peppers

At room temperature, mix the unsalted butter with all of the ingredients listed above. Store the butter spread in a jar or wrap in a log using parchment paper. Leave it in fridge overnight before serving. Makes great gifts.
