Mixology Night

It’s been a while since I took a breather with my Atlanta blogger friends. A while as in two months. I finally came out to last night’s Mixology Night with Megha Agrwal from Make Up By Megha and Natasha Kotto from Toto’s Life and Style at Buckhead’s newest restaurant, Bangkok Station. Two months is a long time to disappear from the growing bloggers community. I’ve missed them! It’s nice to be back to mix and mingle with these beautiful and talented ladies.

At first sight, I can’t help but notice this beautiful space called Bangkok Station. It’s sexy, rustic and modern all in one. I highly recommend coming here for date night or to celebrate a birthday. They can totally accommodate a large group. Look at our group of 20 ladies. Wait until you hear about the drinks we made from Mixology Night.

The evening started with a Mixology class hosted by Bangkok Station. We made two exotic and refreshing Spring/Summer inspired cocktails. These are definitely my type of drinks. I can imagine sitting on the patio here on a warm Spring evening sipping on these babies. Bangkok Station was generous enough to share these fantastic cocktail recipes with us. See recipe below. You have to try these! Let me rephrase that…YOU MUST TRY THESE!

Sangria Flora

2 oz. Sauvignon Blanc

1 oz. St. Germain Elderflower Liquor

0.5 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice

0.5 oz Simple Syrup

Club Soda

Fresh Fruits


  1. Pour Sauvignon Blanc, St. Germain and lime juice into a wine glass.
  2. Fill with ice.
  3. Add fresh fruits.
  4. Stir thoroughly.
  5. Garnish with fresh fruits, mint sprig and lemongrass stalk.

Pink Peony

2 oz. Vodka (Basil or Cucumber Vodka Optional)

2-3 pieces of Watermelon

2-3 Fresh Basil Leaves

1 Pinch Fresh Ginger

1 oz. Simple Syrup

0.5 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice

Splash of Fevertree Ginger Beer


  1. Put watermelon, basil leaves and ginger into a shaker.
  2. Add vodka, simple syrup and lime juice.
  3. Muddle.
  4. Add ice and shake.
  5. Strain into a wine glass.
  6. Add ice and top off with ginger beer.
  7. Garnish with watermelon ball and a basil leaf.

We continued the fabulous evening with two authentic Thai entrees, Penang Curry Chicken and Basil Tofu. Dinner is always great with exciting conversations and plenty of great food to share.


Thanks to Megha and Natasha for putting this event together. I so needed the GNO time. Time well spent!
