Spring Break at Myrtle Beach

Remember when you were in college and Spring Break was all the hype after mid-terms? How rewarding it was to finish your mid-terms and head to the beach with your girlfriends for some fun in the sun? Panama City Beach was the place to go when I was in college because of MTV’s Spring Break series. Looking back, was the cheesiest thing ever. Neon bathing suits, cheap and dirty hotels, everyone packed into a small hotel room, and bad, bad fast food. You can’t help but laugh at the memories.

Now as a working adult there is no such thing as a spring break. But we do get PTO! My girlfriend, Gaby and I desperately needed the break last weekend. We booked a room at the Landmark Hotel and Resort in Myrtle Beach and we were out of town faster than you know it. Gaby’s 15 year old niece, Denise, tagged along. It was her Spring Break.

It was a calm and chilly weekend in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This place is not Panama City Beach, Florida so the scene was definitely for mine and Gaby’s age group. Despite the mid 60’s temperature and strong wind, we managed to lay out for an even tan.

Here are the photos from our trip.

Who doesn’t enjoy a margarita on the rocks? At Noizy Oyster, we went all fried! When you’re at the beach loading up on fried seafood is a must. My fried seafood platter definitely hits the spot.

“Yobucks”. Is that a thing? Can’t go without Starbucks in the AM.
