My first year at Bonnaroo and all I can say is, WOW. Bonnaroo is the largest music and arts festival in the southeast. It’s located in Manchester, Tennessee on a huge farm. People of all ages flock here every summer to camp out, enjoy food, music and “other things”. While Coachella was straight up fabulous, Bonnaroo was anything goes.
I came to Bonnaroo for a Teva footwear activation on behalf of Craft Box Girls. Lynn, CBG CEO, and I muscled through the intense heat and made the DIY activation a success. Lynn and I were the DIY experts to assist Bonnaroovians on how to customize their Bonnaroo exclusive Teva sandals. Everyone who purchased a pair of Teva received a DIY kit to customize their new sandals. There was also a scavenger hunt going on all weekend including fun games for prizes all under one roof. The guys at the Frothy Monkey coffee stand took excellent care of us by providing refreshing and delicious iced coffee every day. We also got an up close and personal pop-up performance each day by the touring artists. I made lots of new friends, heard amazing stories from all walks of life and truly enjoyed the Teva experience.
At night, I got to see Halsey, Flosstradamus, J Cole and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis perform. We were interrupted by a storm passing through the area so I missed Ellie Golding, Sam Hunt and Pearl Jam. My old butt got too comfortable back at camp so I didn’t walk back out to Centeroo to see the rest of the performers.
I was amazed by how many people came out to this festival (est. 40,000) for the love of music despite the 100 degree temperature and humidity. The heat nearly got to me. I had to get IV fluid on Saturday because I was so dehydrated. The medics team and transport was super awesome. They took excellent care of me as they do everyone else. The people really made this festival extraordinary.
